For NEET UG 2026, the minimum age is 17 years as on 31 December 2026. There is currently no upper age limit (following the Supreme Court order), and there is no cap on the number of attempts. Eligibility requires passing Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects, with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
NEET 2026 AIQ (All India Quota) Counselling is expected to begin in August 2026, roughly 2–3 weeks after the result is declared. It is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in. The process is: Registration → Fee Payment → Choice Filling → Seat Allotment → Reporting.
