NEET 2026 AIQ (All India Quota) Counselling is expected to begin in August 2026, roughly 2–3 weeks after the result is declared. It is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in. The process is: Registration → Fee Payment → Choice Filling → Seat Allotment → Reporting. State Quota counselling is conducted separately by each State Medical Authority, and AYUSH counselling is held at aaccc.gov.in.
For NEET UG 2026, the minimum age is 17 years as on 31 December 2026. There is currently no upper age limit (following the Supreme Court order), and there is no cap on the number of attempts. Eligibility requires passing Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects, with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Your NEET marks are your raw score out of 720, while your percentile shows the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or below you. For example, the 50th percentile means you scored better than about half of all candidates. NTA fixes the qualifying cutoff as a percentile every year, and then converts it to the equivalent marks based on that year’s candidate performance, which is why the cutoff marks change annually even though the percentile stays fixed.
